What's Important to Arizonans?
The supporters of SB1070 and Joe Arpaio are circling the wagons. Millions of dollars are being spent on defending the sheriffs office from lawsuits, while it has failed to protect Maricopa County from sexual predators as this news article proves.
Frequently I hear anti-immigrant protestors claim that all alien immigrants are criminals. "Would you let a criminal in your home?" is one of my favorites. Yes, I would if they left the house clean and landscaped my backyard.

Isn't Arizona an O'odham word for "place where the nut-jobs and douche bags gather in the desert" - or something like that?
Is anything going to happen to Arpaio with the whole stink regarding his mis-management of funds? They sound like serious charges with witnesses and paper trails.
Arpaio has become the Teflon Don. So far many critics are screaming for his head including the Phoenix Board of Supervisors and the DOJ is investigating his office, but he is still as popular as ever. The ignorance and hypocrisy of Arizona nativism is clear here. "Arizonans aren't anti immigrant" they are are anti law breaker, i.e. undocumented immigrants. But Arpaio who has fired his two top aids claims he did not know they were embezzling money. The local news is crushing him with high quality investigations that have forced other the feds to come in, but they have still not acted.
